You don’t need to do every legal task now
Ready to start legally protecting your business?
Get instant access to a step-by-step course that will give you a roadmap on which legal tasks you need to complete now–and which can wait.
When you start a creative business, no one ever teaches you how to understand that overwhelmingly complicated (and somewhat foreign) language we call “legalese.”
They also conveniently forget to mention how to determine what legal tasks you should focus on and how to go about thoughtfully prioritizing them.
And even if you’ve talked with legal professionals before, do you feel like no one seems to “get” what you do as a creative business owner?
You need a solution that breaks through traditional legal boxes that are stifling and downright confusing so you feel more empowered to follow an easier path to fully protecting your ass(ets).
In this course, we’ll help you make sense of the legalese by giving you unlimited access to a trusted legal translator and guide who can teach you what you don’t know (but need to know) and show you how to solve legal problems before they arise.
Overwhelmed is an understatement about how I felt about the legal side of my business. But since joining the artist’s Courtyard, I’m feeling excited that it’s all manageable. The input of this friendly community and the guidance, confidence, and knowledge of Kiffanie keeps me coming back.
Hi, I’m Kiffanie Stahle, your friendly legal eagle
Spoiler alert, I think that certain legal tasks are a waste of your time, energy and effort.
I’ve seen time and time again, that legal checklists are a waste for most creative businesses.
Because many of those tasks aren’t important today. And doing all..the…things right now is a waste of your time, money, and energy.
This is why I believe once you’ve tackled a core set of tasks, you can be done.
And you only need to tackle additional legal projects if:
- crossing it off will help you get closer to your goals
- is riskier not to act now, rather than waiting until something happens
Since 2011, I’ve been helping creative business owners like you make these decisions. And I know that together we can find a better, easier way to grow your creative business with legal protections in mind.
Join us to eliminate those core tasks and start discovering the most potent steps you can take today towards building a satisfying life and business.

…Who is this course for?
This course is designed for any U.S.-based creative business owner who wants to start securing your creative business’ legal foundation. But doesn’t want to have to learn any legal jargon.
…Who isn’t this course for?
This course isn’t the best fit for you if you aren’t based in the United States or if you’ve already done the basics to securing your creative business’ legal foundation. It’s also best to pass on this course if you want someone to do all the work for you. You’ll be given tools and resources, but to cross them off the list, you’ll have to roll up your sleeves and do the work.
…How long will I have access to the content?
If you purchase the course only, your access to the course content will last for at least one year.
If you join the artist’s Courtyard, you’ll have access to the course content for as long as you are a member of the artist’s Courtyard.
…What is your refund policy?
Most online refund policies suck. They require you to jump through hoops, submit worksheets, or prove you did the work. But that’s not how I operate.
If you purchase the course only, if within 14 days of your purchase you send me an email telling me the course wasn’t the right fit to help you build a strong foundation, I’ll refund your payment. No questions asked.
If you join the artist’s Courtyard, if within your first 30 days you send me an email telling me the artist’s Courtyard isn’t the right place to help you build a strong foundation, I’ll refund your payment. No questions asked.
…What other courses will I have access to if I join the artist’s Courtyard?
When you join us in the artist’s Courtyard you’ll get instant access to our entire legal library of resources. Other courses include:
- Write a contract (with five contract templates you can use)
- Create (+ maintain) your LLC
- Host a legal giveaway
- Registering your copyrights
…What kind of businesses should join the artist’s Courtyard?
We are looking for creative business owners who are ready to take action. You should have a DIY-mentality, be a self-starter, and be willing to raise your hand and help out your fellow members. And it might be right for you if you want to work with Kiffanie on a regular basis on a small budget.
…What kind of businesses shouldn’t join the artist’s Courtyard?
If you are looking for an attorney, this isn’t the right place. Kiffanie can’t provide legal advice about how to handle your specific problem and joining the artist’s Courtyard doesn’t make her your attorney.
She’ll only be able to provide information about the law and give you options. You’ll have to decide what’s right for your business. And if you don’t have the time, energy, or desire to do the work and support the community, this isn’t the right place for you.
And if you aren’t based in the United States, the legal resources won’t all apply to you because the resources only cover U.S. law.
…Can I cancel my membership to the artist’s Courtyard at any time?
Yep! No contracts or commitments here. You can cancel at any time with just a single click from your member profile page. If you email Kiffanie to cancel within the first 30 days, you’ll get a full refund. However, if you cancel after 30 days, you won’t receive a pro-rated refund. (You can read our full refund policy and when refunds are issued here.)
